The Group for the Study of Popular Culture in Media Society (UCM) invites between 27 and 29 October 2010 the Congress Fantastic Sagas: Between Myth and Neoépica at the School of Information Sciences. Be held in parallel with the International Forum II Fantastic Sagas for authors, editors, illustrators, etc.
The lines of research the Congress are:
- theoretical and historical aspects of gender
- Universes fantastic: geographies of the non-existent
- numinous in the sagas: myth, religion, esotericism
- fantastic Languages: grammars and lexicons
- Among heroes and villains: thenew epic
- Sociology of sagas: sociocultural aspects of consumption of the sagas
- Transnarratividad: relationship to comics, video games, movies ...
- Beyond West
The deadline for submitting your proposal is September 15, 2010. Must be accompanied by a summary of 30 lines that explains the theme and purpose of it, and the subject line to which is attached.
